Public Sector Finance

Finance-related jobs that work with government agencies are known as public sector finance positions. Just like private-sector financial work, these positions are responsible for gathering and analysing financial data in order to help clients make informed decisions regarding their investments
Public sector job holders work with agencies like the Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission or the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. In addition to sorting through financial data they also monitor the activities of private sector businesses.
Since most of these jobs are with the government, a bachelor’s degree is usually required. Most applicants have studied business administration, economics or other financial fields. Natural aptitude in statistics and mathematics is very useful, as are excellent organisational skills
They are many different specialities in this realm of finance, and the annual salaries reflect this. Employees can earn from £10,000 a year for entry-level positions up to £100,000 and more based on education, training and experience.
