The key responsibility of a hotel manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel they work for and its staff members. A degree in hotel management, hospitality, business management, business or tourism is a great way to start a career in the hotel business. However, such a qualification is not necessarily required. For management positions, it is important to have extensive experience in the industry. Salaries for high management positions can range between £50,000 and £100,000 plus per annum.
