It Manager

IT managers are vital to the IT industry as they do everything from supervising network security to managing internet operations. They lead research projects, organise, plan, and supervise computer-related tasks and activities and oversee the work of systems analysts, computer programmers, support specialists and other computer technicians. Other responsibilities may include installing or upgrading software, systems design, programming, and developing internet or intranet sites. IT managers are also responsible for the security and maintenance of computer networks
To apply for this position, you should possess at least a bachelor's degree. Many employers may prefer an MBA with an emphasis on technology or information systems. Having a product-specific certification is also an advantage. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong knowledge in business, strong leadership skills, effective communications, and teamwork. You must also possess the ability to execute projects, follow routines and procedures, work creatively with ideas, think ahead, and identify solutions to problems. The average pay for this position is around £50,000 plus pension.
