Music Teacher

Most general music teachers give lessons in elementary, middle or high school. Some may also provide private instructions. The position requires helping younger students comprehend music’s basic principles, such as tempo, melody and beat. Younger students may be taught with simple instruments like maracas, tambourines and bongos, whereas older students may learn instruments in the woodwinds, brass, percussion and string families
The job involves giving instruction to student groups in particular age brackets, whether it be elementary, middle or high school. Someone in this role may have students at more than just one school or level. Private lessons with one-on-one instruction are often offered outside of school
The lessons involve students taking part in making music actively, whether it be by singing along while the teacher plays an instrument, or by playing instruments themselves. The teacher must help students identify notes and musical styles like jazz, pop and classical
To teach within elementary and secondary levels, an individual requires a music education Bachelors degree, normally with a proficiency in at least one instrument. The average starting salary of a music teacher in the UK is £21,500; however, in London, it may be around £27,000.
