Quality Assurance Manager

Quality assurance manager positions focus on the company’s manufactured product, ensuring it is fit for the purpose and complies with all internal regulations, legal compliance and customer expectations. The quality assurance manager coordinates all quality standards and control measures in place in the manufacturing process.
A key task is liaison with other production managers to ensure the QA system itself is working well, with changes implemented whenever necessary and training modules prepared and put in place. Reports are prepared and set against specific parameters.
The focus of the job is on continuous improvement in quality control, using specific measures related to the product, and includes working with the purchasing department to ensure bought-in components are satisfactory. The application of health and safety and environmental standards is also part of the job, as is persuading workers to change their habits to improve overall quality and the preparing of customer charters and guarantees.
The job is open to any graduate applicants, but degrees in business management or a subject relevant to the company’s product will help. Typical starting salaries run between £19,000 and £24,000, with senior positions up to £45,000 and the occasional director-level job drawing over £60,000 plus perks.
