Do you need specific formation to become a Restaurant Assistant Manager?

Sally:
Restaurant assistant manager posts don't tend to require high school formation, there are often entry level positions with training done on the job. You must be able to learn about food handling and safety. If you further your education, for example with a bachelor's degree in restaurant management, you will have a plus to go from a position as assistant manager to manager. Remember that your people’s skills leadership qualities are most important, as are your abilities for teamwork. Another issue to bear in mind is your resilience, typically the days are long and busy in this type of jobs.
