Hr Officer

HR officers need to be pleasant and approachable members of staff with excellent organisational and communication skills. People in this role deal with all aspects of a company’s human resources. They assist in the recruitment and management of employees, organise any necessary training and provide general advice and support on a range of employment issues, such as pay, benefits and conditions
Working closely with other departments, HR officers assist heads of staff with the implementation and development of company policies and procedures and liaise with a number of specialist organisations to ensure regulations relating to gender, age, disability and health and safety are all complied with. They also play a large part in the recruitment process by writing job descriptions, shortlisting applicants and taking part in interviews
The ideal candidate should be diplomatic and sensitive to enable them to deal effectively with issues such as redundancy, grievance and disciplinary procedures. A Bachelors degree in human resources, psychology, sociology or other related degree is helpful for this work, and previous experience in an HR role is often required. Salaries are between £23,000 and £27,000.
