Lettings Manager
Estate agencies hire lettings managers to ensure the smooth running of their lettings departments. Candidates for this position require a strong knowledge of all aspects of lettings markets and legislation. The lettings manager runs the specialist estate agency team and sets the standard for the other employees when it comes to handling tenants, landlords, and other estate agency staff. The position also involves negotiating rental fees with their landlords and tenants, staying updated on current market forecasts and climates, handling money and budgets, and using excellent skills in customer service and communication
Many managers in the sector are required to have their own vehicles and current driver's licenses as the position often requires a great deal of travelling, especially when transporting clients to and from property viewings. Promotion to full partnership status is possible. The average starter salary is approximately £25,000, with seniors in the position earning average salaries upwards of £35,000.
