A customer services advisor is a non-specific job title given to an employee with the primary task of dealing with the needs of customers. Also commonly referred to as a customer service agent or customer service representative, a customer service advisor would generally work in a call centre or in shops.
Qualifications for a customer services advisor vary from position to position, with some of the more advanced roles, especially in the financial services industry, requiring special certification. Entry-level positions are also available across many fields
While the role does vary according to the company and the type of industry, the job holder is likely to act as the face and the mouthpiece of the company, providing the client with a contact who is knowledgeable about the company’s products and services.
The average is roughly £15,000, however this depends greatly on experience, seniority and expertise and length of time working with the company.

Description

Managing client communications is the chief responsibility of a Customer Services Advisor. These professionals interact directly with potential, new and existing clients. They work to provide quality customer service, while increasing the company’s revenues through increased sales. Their jobs are usually challenging, involving high demand situations and constant job stressors. However, they employ stress management and coping skills in their daily activities.
A Customer Services Advisor usually performs many of the following tasks:

•  Performing administrative functions
• Updating client accounts
• Processing customer correspondence
